Participate today!

Thank you for your interest in participating in one of our studies! Faculty research labs within the Department of Psychology at the University of Mississippi have made many significant contributions to our understanding of human behavior and cognition. The Laboratory for Memory & Cognition is one of the newest labs to join the team. We are always actively involved in research and as such, we need the help of the Oxford Community to continue to do so. If you or anyone you know would like to participate please contact us today.

What do participants do?

Participating in one of research projects would require you to come to our lab located on the main Ole Miss campus in Oxford. More information about directions and parking can be found on our Directions and Contact Information page. When you visit our lab, you would be asked to complete a couple of questionnaires asking general information about your memory and other basic information. Although the specific tasks vary from study to study, typically you will be asked to complete an activity on the computer. Most people find the questionnaires and activities to be fun and interesting and often return to participate in other studies in the future. No prior knowledge or experience with technology is required and detailed instructions will be provided.

Data collection:

It is important to note that all studies conducted by the Laboratory for Memory and Cognition are reviewed and approved by the Institutional Review Board. This committee of appointed representatives reviews all research studies to confirm that they adhere to the federal laws regarding human research. As part of federal compliance, all data collected from any of our studies is kept strictly confidential and used only for research purposes.

Participate today!

If you or anyone you know would like to participate in our study please feel free to contact us today with any questions you may have or to schedule an appointment. Without the participation of community members such as yourself we would not be able to conduct our research, so we are very grateful for your interest in participating!
